ADMIRE AIR 7000
The piping foot is ideal for inserting pre-made piping into seams and along edges for a tailored finish. It also makes it quick and easy to cover cord with fabric and insert piping into seams, giving your projects a professional finish.
To stitch piping into a seam:
- Set the overlocker to the desired stitch.
- Attach the Piping Foot.
- Place the piping along the seam line on the right side of the fabric. Place the second piece of fabric on top, with the right sides together.
- Place the fabric and piping layers under the Piping Foot, with the piping positioned in the groove on the underside of the foot.
- Sew the piping into the seam.
- The groove on the underside of the foot will guide the piping as you sew.
To stitch piping into a seam:
- Cut bias or crosswise grain strips wide enough to cover the cord, including the seam allowances.
- Place the cord on the wrong side of the fabric strip and fold the fabric over the cord.
- Place the fabric and cord under the Piping Foot, with the cord positioned in the groove on the underside of the foot.
- Sew the fabric around the cord. The groove will guide the cord as you sew.
